Scroll steadily through the window you want captured. Pausing is fine, and so is scrolling back up — the registration is tracked in document coordinates, not frame by frame.
The picker lists your open windows — choose the single one you want captured. Only that window is recorded; the rest of your screen is never seen.

Everything that stays put — title bars, tab strips, the message box — has to stay outside this box, or it gets stamped in at every scroll position. Drag the edges to adjust.
